Join us for the next Slow Read Book Club as we move intentionally through Reimagining Nonprofits and Philanthropy by Vu Le. This is a bold and timely invitation for all of us to rethink how the social impact sector is resourced and sustained. We anticipate that Vu’s book will challenges us to confront long-standing inequities in philanthropy while envisioning new possibilities guided by trust, equity, and collective care.

Unlike traditional book clubs, the Slow Read Book Club invites us to release the pressure to “keep up,” and instead engage with the text in a way that allows us to practice what we’re learning, and sharing those insights in community. Over the course of 5-6 months, we’ll gather virtually to reflect and connect the ideas in this book to our lived experiences as nonprofit and philanthropic leaders. Together, we’ll explore what it means to reimagine our sector while staying connected to our values, our communities, and ourselves.

Each book culminates in an in-person gathering in San Diego, CA (date TBD), where we’ll deepen connection and bring our learning into shared practice.

Ready to slow down and reimagine what’s possible for our sector? Join us.
